About LifeLines
By attending the Mothers Who Write workshops offered at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts, the six authors of LifeLines met during the spring of 2003. Their common ground included motherhood and a desire to perpetuate the writing momentum that the workshops had generated. Hand-picked by Diane Owens, the women formed a never-officially-named group and met bi-weekly for the next two years to share and critique their written work.

LifeLines resulted from those gatherings.

"Written from a deep, personal need to express, the material presented in their book can be unusually intimate. Written to be easily presented for critiquing, none of the 88 stories, essays and poems is longer than five pages. Bedside, on the coffee table, in the car, in any waiting room, LifeLines rewards the busiest of readers."
